01 — Problem
Buying a new car in Serbia means guesswork
Anyone shopping for a new car in Serbia has to piece the market together themselves: official importer sites, dealer pages, PDF price lists and social media posts. Prices move constantly with actions and discounts, equipment packages differ brand to brand, and comparing two models side by side means opening a dozen tabs and doing the maths on paper. Newer Chinese brands entering the market made it worse — buyers had almost no independent place to see what is available, at what price and with what warranty.
- No single place to see the whole new-car market
- Actions and discounts change prices week to week
- Comparing specs and equipment across brands is manual work
- Little independent information about new Chinese brands

One free platform to find, compare and track new cars
02 — Plan
One free platform to find, compare and track new cars
The plan was a platform a buyer can use in under a minute: filter by brand, model, budget, fuel and body type, see every matching car with its real price and specs, and compare the shortlist side by side. On top of the catalogue we planned two layers that give people a reason to come back: a price-change feed that tracks how prices move across the market, and a dedicated section for Chinese brands with an independent overview of prices, warranties and the service network. Discovery is built in from the start — a landing page per budget, body type and brand, designed for search.
- Search-first UX with filters for budget, fuel and body type
- Side-by-side comparison as the core feature
- Price-change tracking as the recurring reason to return
- A dedicated, independent Chinese-brand section
- Landing pages per budget, body type and brand, built for search

A structured catalogue behind a fast front end
03 — Implementation
A structured catalogue behind a fast front end
The heart of the product is a structured database of cars: brand, model, trim, price, engine, consumption, transmission and equipment — kept current so the platform reflects the market instead of a stale price list. The comparison engine reads from that same structure, so any two cars can be compared attribute by attribute. Price changes are tracked over time and surfaced as a live feed of the biggest drops. Budget, body-type and brand pages are generated from the catalogue, with a cookie consent banner and privacy policy part of the first release, not an afterthought.
- Structured car catalogue: trims, prices, specs and equipment
- Comparison engine across any two cars
- Automated price-change tracking with a public feed
- Generated budget, body-type and brand landing pages
- Cookie consent, privacy policy and structured data from day one

A transparent new-car market — free for buyers
SalonAutomobila.rs is live. A buyer opens one page, filters by budget or body type, sees every matching car with real prices, compares the shortlist side by side and follows price drops before deciding when to buy. Popular models are surfaced automatically, the Chinese-brand section gives buyers an independent overview of a fast-growing part of the market, and brands get a place where buyers actively compare what they sell.
- Single entry point for the Serbian new-car market
- Comparison instead of a dozen open tabs
- Price transparency instead of phoning around
- Free for buyers, with room to grow into new categories
